The program was very successful. The experience received from the job and working with the kids was essential in building on the current knowledge that was given to me by the university. It has allowed me to better prepare myself for the field of education and receive constructive feedback from peers and other advisors than just that of the college.
What I wish was different
I wish communication between the advisor and the college students was better. It was not communicated what exactly was expected of the teachers in terms of what needed to be submitted to the college and in what format.
Advice
If you have the opportunity to receive any experience and knowledge of your field of study outside of your placements, internships, or classes take it. It is needed for the real world and will provide an abundance of tools and skills that you will be able to use later on in life.
