I enjoyed driving my assigned Humvee everyday. I also enjoyed working and helping my assigned Gunner with anything he needed while on the shooting range. Some of my daily tasks that I helped my assigned Gunner with were retrieving ammo, collecting & turning in ammo, preparing/cleaning weapon, and preparing/cleaning Humvee for daily missions. Once we were done with our mission, i had the chance to get trained and certified on the Combat Life Savers Course, which taught me first aid used by the army while in combat. Another thing that I got to do was shoot a weapon I had not shot before, which is the M240 Machine Gun.
What I wish was different
I would have liked to know the daily tasks beforehand; for example, our schedule consisted of reporting to work at around noon or a couple hours after that, and we got off of work around midnight. I would have liked to get used to the new sleeping schedule beforehand.
Advice
It's a great experience to learn how to drive new vehicles, shoot new weapons, as well as getting trained and certified on useful courses.
