The freedom to look into whatever we desired as long as they fit with our core values. But we had the support and the network to move forward with our ideas once we proved they were valuable.
What I wish was different
Unfortunately, my time was broken up by the quarantine so I wish I had been able to stay in the office throughout the internship.
Advice
Be prepared to be independent and prove your ideas valuable.

I would encourage students that are looking for a job to look diligently for a work study job. It is extra time to get some school work and studying done while building connections.
