I liked the flexibility I had with my work at the company and my ability to collaborate with my fellow interns and other staff members on a wide variety of projects. I also loved all of the professional development opportunities I had in the healthcare field in Washington, DC.

It is very important to be a self-starter. There is not a clear-cut job description for the internship, so it is important to express your project interests within the organization and be a leader on your project.
