I liked that I was integrated into the daily responsibilities of the office, as opposed to doing busy work. I was interacting with people at the senior/director level all the way down to the staff accountants. It gave me a very good idea of how an accounting office operates.
What I wish was different
I wish I had been less stubborn about learning. I never wanted to admit my mistakes because I felt like I should've known everything. Had I accepted that I basically knew nothing, and tried to learn more, I would've excelled in the position.
Advice
Stay humble, and absorb all the information given to you. Arrive on time, and work with a smile. Get to know people in the office, chat in the break room. Make yourself a part of the office! People love talking to the intern.
