What I liked

Getting hands on experience in the drug and alcohol field which allowed me to get a better idea of what I want to go into in the future. Also, it has been a great opportunity to network and take trainings offered by the company that will help me later in my career - things like De-escalation of aggression, CPR, etc.

What I wish was different

Wish the pay was better.

Advice

Make sure you look into the position you're applying for before agreeing. This job can be demanding and give you little monetary reward, so it's important to actually care about the work you're doing. Easier said than done, but try not to take the job home with you either. Make sure you have a mental health resource you can unload to.
