I love what I do there. Helping vulnerable communities such victims of domestic violence is a rewarding experience. I love that the job is performed in the Aurora Municipal Court.

I wish the non-profit organizations would be more generous in terms of salaries and benefits
Advice
I definitively encourage all students of Social Sciences to intern with COVA, (Colorado Victims Assistance) it is a great organization that offers paid internships and locate students in other great organizations with high chances of hiring their interns. That is what happened to me.
Right now Gateway DV services is needing inters and volunteers and they can do it through COVA
