Be proactive with your time
“A lot of people never use their initiative because no one told them to.” If you find yourself sitting at your desk with nothing to do (which does happen sometimes), instead of twiddling your thumbs or surfing social media, ask your mentor for something to work on. If they don’t have an assignment for you, make work for yourself. Researching the latest industry trends will ensure you are up to date on everything, or you could get a head start on the final internship project. The Brandtern program has a lot to offer, but if you don’t take the initiative to learn, you may miss out on some of these benefits.
