What I liked

The environment was laid-back, but still had high expectations. The general idea was that not knowing something was not an excuse to hand it off to another person: you were given the tools to learn.

What I wish was different

I wish that there was just as much of a focus on solving IT problems as software problems. I found that those would eat up my time and were more frustrating to deal with. Some further training would have helped to cut these issues down to a minimum, allowing for a smoother workflow.

Advice

Experience cuts both ways. It is almost better to have never learned a skill than to have learned it with bad habits. While the learning curve may be steep, the end result will be worth it even if your initial experience was limited.
