I loved that I was able to get hands on experiences with event coordinating. I was given many different responsibilities to help out the event coordinator that allowed me to go out into the community and gain personal networks. Through this internship, I was given multiple references and other internships/ job opportunities within the area and throughout Florida.
What I wish was different
I wish I was able to learn more about the operations of the facilities of the stores, however that was not under the description of my internship so I am not too disappointed that I did not learn about this.
Advice
Finding an internship could be as simple as just asking around for new opportunities within your own company. My internship was opened up through my employer and I was very happy and comfortable to work alongside familiar faces. The management and owners of my job were very happy to guide me throughout my internship and help me out with any questions and concerns I had. Also, I would also advise to never loose hope! Everything will work out the way it needs to work out and you can't control every single thing in your life. If things are failing within your life you need to deal with them in the best way you can and know that everything will work out the way it's suppose to.
