What I liked

Worked directly with the president and CFO of the company and learned a very wide range of sales, marketing, and interpersonal skills. I was given much more responsibility than one might find in most internships; I was given the authority to sign contracts and documents for the company as a whole, I lead sales team meetings as the person who keeps track of all of the sales and their status, and I managed relationships with both vendors and customers.

What I wish was different

There was not much time between when I began training and the busy season of the company's sales cycle. It would have been nice to have more time to train, but the rest of the team did a very good job of keeping up with me and helping me when I fell behind.

Advice

If you go into a position like this, be prepared to take on more responsibility than you might expect, and be ready for short deadlines towards the end of the customers' fiscal years that may require you to work at unexpected hours.
