The internship is really hands-on, and I feel like I am a part of my team rather than an assistant to it.
What I wish was different
Besides the internships being in person, I wish I would have had more of an opportunity to get to know other interns.
Advice
Reach out to anyone and everyone. People are always willing to talk about themselves, and learning about roles and building a network is incredibly valuable.

Advice
Make sure that your relationship with your advisor is communicative and open from the very beginning. That is the best way to make your internship the best it can be! I highly recommend having weekly check-ins, even if it means a quick 5-minute walk to the kitchen.
