Post Production Intern

What I liked
I loved the immersive experience of working there. As a post intern, I wasn't just going on coffee runs. I learned so much through actively engaging with the editing team and contributing to the show and its post-production workflow. Everyone is SO nice there, and want you to get the most out of your experience.

What I liked
The Full Frontal staff was the most encouraging and welcoming group of people I've ever worked with. They made a huge effort to make the interns feel useful and to make our internship a worthwhile learning experience. They all made sure interns were totally appreciated parts of the team, and allowed us incredible opportunities: I was allowed to sit in on digital pitch meetings, my supervisor set up meetings for us to ask questions to the writers and Sam herself, and we were also allowed to pitch our own ideas for segments on the show. I wrote a pitch that was read by my supervisor, a producer, and the writing staff (who shared thoughts and feedback!). I would kill to work there again. (Plus, there were snacks!)
What I wish was different
It's genuinely difficult to think of something. We spent a decent amount of time going out and running errands, but everything I left the office to do had a clear purpose connected to the office's needs or the production needs of the show.
Advice
Listen and ask questions. As goofy and fun as the staff can be, they're all also crazy intelligent people, and many of them will gladly share really valuable lessons with you if you find a good time to ask.
