Front Range Recreation

Lifeguard

May 2016 • Castle Rock, CO

What I liked

I liked that I was able to work many hours to save up for my expenses during the summer. It was very nice to have been able to take a leadership role as well.

What I wish was different

I wish I had a little more responsibility. Just so I could be able to tell others what to do as I knew how to manage a pool

Advice

Always be diligent in your work. Even though you may not see the rewards straightaway they will come. Work hard and do your best for whatever job you do

Pool Manager

May 2016 - September 2019 • Parker, CO

What I liked

I liked being able to lead and oversee the processes at the pool and manage the chemicals.

What I wish was different

I wish we had more staff -- we were short-staffed all summer and I and a select few workers had to make up the difference.

Advice

It was a good experience, a learning experience. Being thrust into a manager/leadership spot without being completely confident that you can do it ultimately challenges your skill set and problem-solving to really see if you can step up to the plate.
