I enjoyed the atmosphere of the campaign office and still cherish the relationships I was able to build with other campaign fellows. I also enjoyed being able to meet other political candidates in my locality, and visit parts of Montgomery County that I have not previously seen. Though the GOTV efforts required a lot of hard work, it was still intriguing to discuss and evaluate the variations of campaign strategy. The experience ultimately made me consider running for a political office in my locality after completing my undergraduate education. It felt that although I had a small part in something big, the time I spent was still significant. I also enjoyed voting for the first time since I was not able to vote in the 2016 presidential election. It was surreal to gather with all the Friends of David Blair on the night of the primary election, and feel the vibrant energy in the room.
