Restoration
June - August 2019 • Playa del Rey, CA
What I liked
I loved how their restoration events were open to the public and spread awareness about invasive species and the wetlands to those who had no knowledge.
What I wish was different
I wish they would have more volunteer opportunities throughout the week since these restoration events usually occurred during the weekend.
Advice
For anyone who wants to work with ecological/habitat restoration, it’s great to explore different cities to experience the types of challenges that those areas are facing. In the end, it is a rewarding experience to be able to work with the public and teach them about the purpose of restoration.
