About Friends for a Nonviolent World

Friends for a NonViolent World (FNVW) seeks a world free from violence and the threat of violence. We champion nonviolence as the foundation for effective programs and actions to promote the dignity of every human being. Our programs demonstrate the power of nonviolent action and transformation at personal, community and institutional levels. As an organization, we are committed to leveraging the skills, strengths, and passions of our talented and dedicated volunteers to achieve our mission. We utilize volunteers in every area throughout the organization and believe that the role of staff is to support and develop the capacity of our volunteers.

FNVW is a Quaker-inspired organization that welcomes people from all faith practices as well as individuals with no religious orientation. We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive organization. We encourage job and volunteer applications from individuals of all backgrounds and life experience.

Fundraising Intern

May 2018 - August 2018 Saint Paul, MN
“I like the fact that this internship role was challenging. It took me out of my comfort zone (which is just being reserved and working solo). I also had the opportunity to attend a series of volunteer management training workshops and gained so much useful knowledge on how to improve volunteer management and engagement”
