What I liked

I loved getting to navigate so many different situations with kids and teenagers of all ages and influence and inspire them to be the best versions of themselves. Also, it was amazing to see how kind, open and understanding all the campers were in regards to using the correct pronouns and gender identity.

What I wish was different

Nothing! It was a great experience and I learned so much about how to be a good leader, mentor, and learned from the kids about how be a more loving and kind individual!

Advice

Being a camp counselor takes a lot of patience, especially with younger kids, but they really value you so much and look up to you so you! You have to remember that they are watching you all the time, and they take all your actions and words to heart so be a good role model!
