What I liked
I loved being around my peers and being able to work with youth from all over America and Canada. It was also very challenging. We would often have a tough conversation with chaparones but I still enjoyed that part of the job.
What I wish was different
The hours. It was a very weekend heavy schedule.
Advice
Be prepared to be stretch physically as well as spiritally and emotionally. Being around Youth Conferences is a powerful experiences and its so much more than a job.

What I liked
I was able to work on relevant projects. My work for the department was used in various areas and I gained more pieces for my portfolio, along with more job experience and stronger connections.
What I wish was different
I had guidance when I needed it, but I was working two jobs in the department. It was sometimes difficult when I needed prioritize work and the time I spent on certain projects.
Advice
The people who work at Franciscan, especially in the Marketing and Communications Department, are not only solid Catholics, but people who truly want to improve and help the University. They are highly skilled and talented people, and I am honored to have worked as a SWOP worker and now intern for them. Their friendliness and willingness to teach shows their character. They put their hearts into their work, producing quality pieces that not only show technical skill but the Catholic message they are trying to communicate.
