Office Assistant

June - August 2019 • Washington, DC

What I liked

There was a lot of freedom in this position to tackle projects and activities. I was able to share in the team's experiences and work with others in the office while also having latitude to problem solve and work independently.

What I wish was different

A earlier start time to become familiar with logistics, stock piles, and ensure preparation for the summer.

Keep a smile and make the activities fun for yourself. Spreadsheets and many of the other tasks can be monotonous. If you have a mission behind them and a way to learn from every project, you will leave the job with a greater appreciation for the hard work an Office Assistant does and a better understanding of how to make tedious tasks entertaining for yourself.
