Foster Farms

HR and Operations

June - August 2019 • Livingston, CA

What I liked

How respectful and nice everyone was.

What I wish was different

I wish it was more exciting and that the days didn't feel so long.

Advice

Don't be afraid to ask questions and be honest, as college students we are more than qualified to work most jobs and I saw myself being a much better employee than some who have worked there for years.

General Labor

August - September 2018 • Porterville, CA

What I liked

I liked that I had the opportunity to experience all three departments: Raw, Cooking, and Palletizing. My favorite department is Cooking simply because there were various sections that allowed to see how a product is made from start to finish.

What I wish was different

I wish I had applied in the beginning of my summer break on June. I could've gained more experience and money. I applied too late.

Advice

Be prepared for your body to be sore the next day. Every department requires you to be on your feet, alert and willing. If you're looking into truly knowing the ins and outs of business and it's chain supply, Foster Farms is the perfect start. I have deep respect for every employee.
