When working on a museum, talking to everyone about their position and what they do really have me a good grasp of how a museum functions and operates.

What I liked
I enjoyed the variety of tasks I was given relating to community engagement. I enjoyed learning new things from each opportunity and seeing the inner workings of a museum first-hand. I also loved how friendly and encouraging the FCMoD staff was!
What I wish was different
The internship structure changed slightly as the museum modified its programs during COVID. Consequently, the internship was different than initially planned, however, I learned a great deal despite the changes.
Advice
I would advice any future interns to say YES to as much as possible. I always try to take on new opportunities, even if I have never done them before, because I know that with each chance I am learning and gaining valuable work experience.
