The community was fantastic! Standards were high, I was challenged to do greater work than I thought I could and I was given the support and supplies necessary. The King is in this place.
What I wish was different
I wish I had appreciated my time there more.
Advice
Don't be afraid to take jobs that intimidate you. You can learn and you can grow! Take jobs that stretch you in the areas you want to learn.

Wilderness Trip Leader
May - August 2018 • Westboro, WI
What I liked
Forest Springs is an, all around, great place to work. No matter what part of camp you work at, you will build some of the most meaningful relationships of your life. I particularly enjoy seeing old friends and being in the roles that I get to be in. As a trip leader, you get to lead camping trips all around the state with kids and teach them about tGod. These camping trips are mixed motive so there is always plenty to do. (Kayak, canoe, hike, fish, climb, etc).
What I wish was different
I wish that the locations of my trips would have varied more instead of mostly being on the same recurring trip.
Advice
One piece of advice for being a wilderness trip leader, is to always be open and ready to have the deepest conversations with people because the opportunities can seem to come out of nowhere.
