The Forest City Owls are a collegiate wooden bat summer league baseball team in the Coastal Plain League. The team played its inaugural 2008 season in Forest City, North Carolina. The Owls and the CPL pride themselves on returning players to their respective schools as better, well-rounded individuals who can instantly help their program succeed on and off the field. The CPL has seen nearly 1,400 alumni drafted by Major League teams, including Ben Zobrist, Justin Verlander and Ryan Zimmerman.
