What I liked

I loved that my writing and storytelling helped contribute to For Evansville's mission to unite the Church the betterment of the city. Each piece of copy I produced was crafted to reach a specific audience with a specific goal in mind. I was thrilled to be paid to use my gifts to further the Kingdom in this way.

What I wish was different

I wish I had taken more initiative to share my ideas in staff meetings. I was hesitant to jump in when I knew my coworkers had more experience, but I know now they valued my opinion and suggestions.

Advice

Don't be afraid to jump into something that is outside of your comfort zone. I learned so much about theology, poverty, foster care, economics, and even electronics while interning with For Evansville. If you keep a learner's mindset, you will prove yourself to be value, versatile asset to the company.
