I got to do wonderful work, really hands-on and very representative of what a real job in the field is like. 40 hours a week doing writing, coalition-building, and organizing!

What I liked
Learning how to grow and manage a volunteer network is important work, and FWW IL offer important ways to learn this valuable skill.
What I wish was different
My schedule conflicted with a couple events that I wish I had been able to attend outside the office.
Advice
Learn, ask questions, participate, enjoy what you do!
