I loved being able to conduct independent research at my own pace. I liked how there was a lot of support from the group and how much I learned.
What I wish was different
I wish I would have had more time to invest in the lab. Classes made it difficult to fully commit. I also wish I had more opportunity to critically think and contribute to the project.
Advice
Try to maintain a good balance between research and classes. Always remember that school comes first!

Advice
Make sure you allocate enough time to balance research tasks with homework and other responsibilities. Having a calendar or planner is the best way to set and maintain goals within a reasonable time.

I learned a great deal and worked with fantastic students and faculty. I also had the opportunity to be a part of the first group of interns, so we were responsible for establishing the way the Hub was run.
What I wish was different
I wish I had more hours per week and that my classes allowed me to return to this position the following semester!

Take opportunities that will challenge you. I began this job feeling unqualified but became incredibly knowledgeable throughout my time there.
