Everyone I worked with was very accomodating and welcoming. The experience was virtual and everyone made sure to take that into account.

Mechanical Engineering Co-Op

January - August 2018 • Oak Harbor, OH

What I liked

The people I worked with were all professional and knowledgeable about the nuclear industry. They were also all great mentors and gave me work that furthered my knowledge as an engineering student not just in the nuclear industry but in the mechanical engineering field in general.

What I wish was different

I wish I could've co-oped for longer!

Advice

Taking a co-op is not only a great way to figure out if you really like what you're studying, but also a way for you to meet professionals in your field and move to a place you've never been to. You not only broaden your engineering horizon, you learn about how much bigger the world is outside of college.
