The culture and intern project that we got to participate in throughout the internship.
What I wish was different
I wish I could've been introduced to more things and try to make the most of the internship. Maybe more of a all around internship like moving to different departments during the internship.
Advice
Take in as much knowledge as possible and ask questions.

IT Intern
May - August 2019 • Sioux Falls, SD
What I liked
I got to work hands-on in a production environment. The work I did never felt like it wouldn't be used in at least some capacity.
What I wish was different
There were times when it seemed like there was not enough work for me to do to keep busy. Often, as an intern, my work had to be double-checked by another employee, and there were times where I spent what felt like significant amounts of time simply waiting for my work to be checked.
Advice
Don't be afraid questions about anything you don't know. As an intern, you aren't expected to understand how the business works as well as someone who's been there for a decade or longer.

Investment Services Intern

What I liked
First PREMIER Bank/PREMIER Bankcard is an excellent company. Everyone is friendly yet professional. The organization supports advancement and service in the community. The company held intern events throughout the summer that allowed interns to meet each other along with networking with employees in other areas.

Advice
If you get the experience to intern at First PREMIER Bank/PREMIER Bankcard, ask to shadow areas other than your own. I had the opportunity to interact with three different areas, which allowed me to get a better feel for what I like and don't like.
