Opportunity to design and implement my own supervised research on the disproportionate socioeconomic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. Friendly, interesting co-workers in the Regional & Community Outreach department.
What I wish was different
The internship was fully remote. On one hand, it was great to have the flexibility to move around this summer, but I think it would have been easier to form relationships with my co-workers had the internship been in person.
Advice
Ask lots of questions and take advantage of opportunities to get to know people working in other departments and units.
