Patient Services Coordinator
May 2019 • Minneapolis, MN
What I liked
I loved working closely with the PTs in my clinic as well as seeing reoccurring patient's faces. The ability to create relationships with so many different people was endless.
What I wish was different
I worked as a float staff which required me to change locations everyday, some clinics were slower due to less PTs. Though I loved floating I wish I was consistently at a clinic with more PTs, therefore see more patient in a day.
Advice
Take everyday as a an opportunity to learn something new. You never know when you're going to need something that may be considered a small detail in one instance but be crucial for another.

Application analyst/developer
May - September 2018 • Minneapolis, MN
What I liked
Stress free
What I wish was different
More engagement with relevant field. Found it irrelevant to my studies and long term ambitions.
Advice
Don't do it unless you have your own side projects. Healthcare IT is client side only, so useless in grand scheme for me. No development, only maintenance.

May - August 2018 • Minneapolis, MN
What I liked
I learned so much about what nurses actually do in the hospital setting. I learned how to insert a peripheral IV. Everything was great!
What I wish was different
Nothing
Advice
It's easy to get into the swing of things and not push yourself to learn, but learn everything you can! 10 weeks is a short amount of time and it goes by fast.
