Nothing. I was lucky to have this opportunity and so glad I got to be in all different types of classes.
Advice
Find any way you can to sub! It helps with your behavior management skills which is CRUCIAL as a new teacher.

Camp Counselor

What I liked
I liked the hours of the camp. I worked 8AM-4PM every Monday-Friday. However, we did not have camp the week of the 4th of July which was a nice break to relax or go on vacation. It showed that my boss was considerate of my time, my co-workers' time, and the campers' time.
What I wish was different
I wish there was more structure. Due to construction on the usual camp location, this year's camp had to be held at a satellite location which made the camp more challenging. The kids did not seem to enjoy it as much as previous years which made it difficult to keep them interested and coming back.
Advice
Bring a lot of energy. You will be working with kids for about 40 hours/week, so it can be taxing, but the kids will come with energy everyday so you have to match that energy in order to make it fun.
