What I liked

I appreciated how welcoming the environment at Expert Institute was. Not only were each member of the company— virtually or in person— willing to be of assistance for advice, guide around corporate work/life balance, and invite us out for lunch, but also the Executive Team were more than happy to learn about what WE wanted to gain from the experience.

What I wish was different

Although I grew to liking the commute to the city from Long Island, I do wish there could've been compensation for traveling as an intern. I was fortunate enough to have my internship be a paid position, however a chunk of the paycheck was going into travel expenses on the LIRR and subway.

Advice

I would encourage others to apply for Expert Institute positions. The company size and locations (in NY- right on Wall St in FiDi) could not have been more perfect. The welcoming environment, genuine employees/Executives, and overall passion for everyone to meet their goals are valuable experiences I gained from EI.
