eLM Intern
May - August 2021 • Pittsburgh, PA
What I liked
I like how much independence you were given as an intern and how they treated you like a new hire and peer as opposed to an just a temporary intern.
What I wish was different
I wish there would have been clearer projects that I was personally able to work on.
Advice
I would say hard work really does pay off and really does show even if you think it’s going unnoticed. So always give your all and ask questions because it shows you care.

Application Engineer
November 2018 • Waukesha, WI
What I liked
I liked how much I was able to learn and then do the work. The work I was doing as an intern has multiple people on staff that do the same work, but for a different product. I worked specifically designing one product, Evoqua has multiple different products. I liked directly working with clients and how autonomous I had become. The company culture was very warm and inviting. We had 4 cookouts outside over the summer; played games like bags, water balloons, pinata. When I first started, people introduced themselves and were incredibly friendly. Everyone wants you to learn and have a great experience. You aren't "just the intern". You really become a valuable member of the team.
What I wish was different
I wish I liked the job enough to stay. I feel so pigeon holed into one position that I am not seeing the bigger picture.
Advice
Don't be afraid to ask questions. You will be told so many standards or rules of thumb, but its important you understand WHY. Clients may ask you that one day.
