The office was small so there are a lot of opportunities to get to know your supervisors well. They were extremely helpful and friendly, and gave me a lot of their time. After every script coverage I would turn in they would sit down with me to talk about what I did well or could have done better. There is also a strong international perspective in the office, and I would encourage international students especially to engage with them.
Since my program ended, they've been very involved in helping me find work. Some of the best relationships I've made in the business.
What I wish was different
Not much, honestly; the experience was extremely positive for me. On reflection, it might have helped to have more guidance on specific things to look for when doing research. I always got feedback on my reports, but I would have liked each report to be narrower in scope prior to completion, to let me curate what I was looking for more.
Advice
Get to know your supervisors, and always prepare questions ahead of your informational sessions! You'll get to meet a lot of cool people around the office and you should be ready to show them that you're interested not just in the industry, but in THEM.
And it pays off; they ARE all interesting in their own way. :)
