I liked the community and also that I was able to be part of a medical mission trip. They prepared me and I was sorrounded by medical students, doctors and nurses which were able to help. I learned so much and my knowledge was really expanded and I got to practice and had many hours of contact care patient. This experience was a big motivation for continuing perusing my goal of been a medical doctor.
What I wish was different
Probably if it was offered at the begging of the summer, and not at the middle.
Advice
People should come aware that these are three intense weeks, working more than 12 hours per day, and also you will be working in a vulnerable hispanic community. It can be hard to get adapted to this environment.
