What I liked

I enjoyed working for a cause I am passionate about and working with a team that shares my values. The Environment Virginia staff were wonderful and incredibly kind.

What I wish was different

I wish there were more safety precautions in place for canvassers. Often I was out canvassing door-to-door alone and worried greatly about my safety.

This experience involves a lot of social interaction, be prepared!

It definitely is a tough job at times, but knowing that you are providing people with a way to get involved in important environmental issues is what drives you to push harder, so a passion for the environment would be ideal if you plan on doing this job.
