The experience of leading an entire project on my own. The ability to work with other like-minded students. The ability to serve and put my engineering knowledge to use for real people.

EWB is an amazing way to meet people, help others and make a difference in the world, and put your engineering knowledge to use in the real world as a student.

Construction Project Developer
July - September 2019 • La Paz, La Paz Department
What I liked
Had the opportunity to use and developed skill in culture and engineering in a different country.
What I wish was different
Working in a developing country is always different so resources are always scarce.
Advice
This is an amazing experience especially if you don’t have a job or internship lined up. You are able to work directly with a professional engineer from the states and because the projects are smaller your opinion actually matters interns of where the projects goes.

Sanitation system builder
August 2018 • Nyambono, Mara Region
What I liked
The community is amazing and so willing to help. One day, we got to the work site in the morning to roll out several hundred meters of pipe for a water distribution system and the teachers and students at that school had already gotten over two thirds rolled out. All we had to do was follow behind and couple the lengths of pipe together.
