Engage3

What I liked

The company culture and people really set Engage3 apart for me. Not only have I had positive experiences with my manager in terms of communication and support, but I have also been able to speak with other key players on the leadership team who have been so kind. The company values, employees, and overall success of Engage3 is obviously very important to the people who work here based on the behaviors they exhibit daily.

Advice

Engage3 is definitely a place where you can expect a lot of work in an unstructured environment. I personally found this exciting since it has allowed me to grow more and act autonomously, but it may not be a great fit for someone who prefers structure in a work environment. I would also want anyone who works at Engage3 to take any opportunity to learn about other departments. It's a really complex company with a lot of moving parts. Gaining that knowledge can be really helpful entering a data driven career.

What I liked

I liked being challenged and given more responsibility. It was a quiet office but they did encourage interactions and teamwork despite individual work. The people I got to meet were amazing and I still keep in touch with some, it was a great experience.

What I wish was different

I was given a couple of tasks that were outside of the job description and it was definitely worthwhile. I learned a lot about efficiency, processes, and how I can improve through those projects. I wish I could have done more and stayed in Davis a little longer to continue working at Engage3. Aside from that, I wish the BA’s weren’t in a different office because we didn’t get to interact with a lot of the other departments. However, that has recently changed so it was definitely exciting to hear about!

Advice

Ask questions. You hear this all the time but when you really do it for your own benefit, it helps others as well. Being motivated to improve yourself and wanting to understand more about what you do as an employee speaks volume.

What I wish was different

The job was honestly incredibly boring. It left very little room for team interaction or creativity within assignments.
