I got real marketing experience. I created shelf talkers, social media posts from scratch, and sell sheets. My boss was understanding and gave me a lot of creative freedom and autonomy. I wasn't micromanaged.
What I wish was different
I wish I could have attended more outside events and field trips. I was not 21 during my internship, so I understand why my boss couldn't take me to many alcohol-related events. My job was essentially sedentary all day.
Advice
I think from this experience that it's necessary to apply myself to everything. Even the small, meticulous tasks should be taken seriously because my overall performance and attitude are judged.
