The work environment was great. The people that I was working with helped me out as much as they could but I also had a lot of opportunity to try to improve things based on my chemical engineering knowledge. It was a great lab experience and I am very grateful that I was able to work there.
What I wish was different
For a summer internship this was perfect. If I were to continue with the job I would have liked to have my role expanded a little bit because the work became a little repetitive towards the end. This is something that I think would happen if I stayed longer.
Advice
It is a small business. Over the summer most days there were 5 of us working. This means that you have to do a lot of odds and ends jobs from time to time as well as deal with small business problems, i.e. somewhat limited resources.
