Everyone at the company was very welcoming and accommodating to the interns, since most of us weren't from the area. The culture was relatively lax and there were a lot of outside-of-work activities that helped create the feeling of a tight-knit community.
What I wish was different
I do wish some of the projects we worked on could have been a bit more collaborative between different departments.
Advice
It was a great learning experience, and I would say don't be afraid to ask questions to employees in different departments about topics you're interested in, as everyone is always willing to speak more about the work they're doing!
