I had a rewarding experience as an Intern at Edmund Optics. I was able to work on a project that allowed me to reinforce and apply what I have been learning in my classes at RIT. The friendly, professional, and open environment of the company allowed me to grow and learn and grow.
What I wish was different
I do not have any complaints. That was something else that Ii appreciated about the experience, is that I had an exiting interview where my manager also asked me how they could improve the experience for future interns.
Advice
Do not be afraid to ask questions and communicate clearly, this will get you far. Reach out to others in the company and be curious.

What I liked
I loved the company culture! The people there were incredibly friendly and I learned a ton. It was an amazing experience. They went above and beyond providing housing and lunch every day. They had flexibility in the work material and encouraged an entrepreneurial spirit.
