What I liked

I loved being able to discuss topics that were interesting to me with Judge Manydeeds. It was also great that I could observe as many hearings as possible, so I could see how a variety of cases are handled. Judge Manydeeds, the court reporters, and other court staff were really kind and encouraging. I also appreciated that Judge Manydeeds challenges you to think outside the box and question your basic assumptions, which helped me to learn new perspectives constantly.

What I wish was different

I wish I had the opportunity to watch a full jury trial, but unfortunately COVID-19 complicated that situation.

Advice

Assume that you don't know everything. Judge Manydeeds isn't going to mince words, so be ready to research, write, and think critically constantly. It is really exciting and interesting, but you need to be ready to put time, effort, and conscious thought to thrive through this experience.
