What I liked

You can be really flexible with your schedule. The pay is decent in comparison to other entry level jobs in Logan.

What I wish was different

I started on as a Spanish speaking agent, and expected the $12/hour wage, however they never paid me that extra dollar an hour no matter how many times I spoke with my managers. Also, there were a decent amount of days where I showed up at 7am, and they didn't have anything for me to do, so I had to get up early and come to work only to be sent home. General communication is lacking. This job is quite monotonous and will slowly suck out your soul the longer you are there.

Advice

Work here if you're looking for another job and need money in the meantime, you probably won't want to work here very long unless you have no other option.

What I liked

I enjoyed being able to work in a professional environment where I was given tasks that MATTERED. So often business and marketing professionals will look at interns as assistants instead of treating them as intelligent and capable adults. At my internship, I was given real tasks that mattered to the company on a global scale. These tasks allowed me opportunities to communicate with people from around the world.

What I wish was different

I wish that I didn't have to write book reports as part of my internship through UVU. The book reports weren't required for my job, but UVU required them. When taking 18 credits, plus working a full-time internship, the book reports seemed like busy work.

Advice

Don't underestimate yourself. It's easy to walk into a professional environment not having complete confidence in yourself and your skill set. Don't close yourself off to opportunities that are going to help you grow and improve in new ways. I left my internship realizing that I had a lot more in me than I originally thought. Also, develop a solid relationship with your manager or boss. If they don't offer one-on-ones with you, ask them if you can start having those--they are more important than you or your boss realize!

This is a good job, but it is not for everyone. If you get stressed out easily this is not the job for you.

What I liked

The scheduling is PERFECT for a college student. You get to choose the days and the hours you work, and you can change your schedule every week. The environment itself is super relaxed and I was able to study while I was working. Most of the other employees are college students as well, so I was able to make a lot of good friends.

What I wish was different

Sometimes the work can become monotonous, but then I was able to study for classes!

Advice

The pay is awesome and the flexibility is perfect for a college student, so push through! You won't find another job like this one.

When they talk to you for having poor quality when it has only been 1 hour into your shift but you did awesome the day before.

If you are looking for a job, start working here even if you are looking for another one. You will start working here within the week.

I was hoping for a more active, involved job, and more variety in day-to-day work

I learned from this job that I am looking for something that is more physically challenging, and I learned how to be patient and persevere even through a time I didn't exactly enjoy.
