What I liked

I liked working alongside other interns and building relationships with other individuals at the company.

What I wish was different

I wish this opportunity allowed for more resources. A lot of employees were stretched thin and lacked overall resources.

Advice

Small organizations provide a great deal of experience.

What I liked

I loved how much responsibility we were given, and how many resources were invested into our training. I learned so much that will be useful for future roles!

What I wish was different

At one point, work just completely dropped off (about halfway through the internship) and managers seemed unwilling to train us on new tools because we would be leaving "so soon." That made me sad, because I would have liked to learn as much as possible while I was there.

Advice

Ask for more tasks, and ask for advice on how to best accomplish these tasks!

What I liked

I had an incredible relationship with my manager, I learned so much, and I was allowed to try things that I did not have much experience with beforehand. I touched a lot of different projects and really enjoyed my work.

What I wish was different

I would have liked more clarity beforehand on what the job was going to be like, as well as more clarity on how to apply again moving forward.

Advice

The job titles that don't seem interesting aren't always that way! Sometimes it is hard to tell from a job description what the day to day will be like, and often you get to touch different projects than included in the job description, so keep an open mind.
