Absolutely loved my placement! I worked in the Emergency Department and wouldn’t have wanted to work anywhere else. I was able to practice my skills on a daily basis and I learned so much. It was amazing applying the theory I learned in the classroom to actual practice!
What I wish was different
Only thing I wish would have been different was I wish my card was able to scan into the computers like all the other employees! I was able to log in but it took me way longer than just scanning my ID badge!
Advice
Ask questions! All the nurses there are willing to explain, teach, and let you do pretty much anything! They believe you get better at nursing skills like IV’s, catheters, dressings and so much more by practicing and it’s 100% true.
