Donaldson was a welcoming place. It is a big company with a small company feel. The work hours were flexible, I was able to login whenever as long as I did 40 hours per week.

I wish that there were more collaborative projects with other interns.
Advice
Ask a lot of questions to senior co-workers. They are happy to help and talk about their experience.

Financial Planning & Analysis Intern
June - August 2019 • Bloomington, MN
What I liked
I loved how much time Donaldson allotted for their interns to learn more about their company and executives of the business. I worked with real data and created real solutions for coworkers around the world. Definitely the most rewarding job experience I have had.
What I wish was different
N/A - they had a cohort of about 40 interns so they know how to make an internship program.
Advice
There may be times where there is a steep learning curve and you can't be afraid to work extra or off-the-clock in order to get up to speed. For example, teaching yourself software that you will be using on the job. There are high expectations in an internship role and you can't use your valuable time at work trying to play catch-up.

Sales and Marketing Intern

The intern program hosted sessions where we were able to meet with the executives of the company. This was a valuable way to learn about corporate life and the possibilities to engage and excel in this environment.
What I wish was different
I wish I would have had a wider variety of experiences while interning. I was stuck on one or two projects the whole summer.
Advice
Be open to each intern experience as it can help you learn what you are interested in after graduation.
