I liked that I was able to get experience with reading grant and performance proposals. I also got to watch a lot of free theater thanks to them!
What I wish was different
I wish I had a clearer idea of what my role was and who I was answering to. My supervisors weren't the best at supervising and the whole office lacked an efficient and respectful organization system. I wish they had their internal office issues resolved before bringing in any interns.
Advice
I would make sure to ask a direct question about the office environment and how they are working towards creating a supportive space before agreeing to intern anywhere.
