What I enjoyed about Discover is that the company is very friendly to it's employees and offers lots of resources to it's workers! I was able to feel very comfortable in my work environment when it came to being productive.
What I wish was different
I wish there was more communication between supervisor and employee. I felt like there wasn't a consistent checking up on each employee making sure we are doing okay and understanding the work completely. I feel communication is a necessity in the workplace.
Advice
Observe everything around you to utilize your resources so you can be productive and efficient!

What I liked
I loved how relaxed it was. We ultimately sit behind a computer and answer calls about Discovers Student Loans. The people you work with are so helpful and so fun too! It pays well.
What I wish was different
They have some very strict policies about missing days. You won’t get time off for a vacation unless you ask for it when you apply.
Advice
Definitely know what vacations you want to take before you apply! Let them know in the interview.

What I liked
It's a very fun work environment! They have lots of different activities in the summer and there are also a ton of opportunities to grow and get promoted from within fairly quickly. Although it is a call center, the company is very people-focused, centered on always doing the right thing, and also communicating to their customers in a refreshing and positive way. The pay was great for a starting position and they also had healthcare and retirement benefits. They also have tuition reimbursement for business students.
